The City
In 1971 2nd December, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) promulgates as an autonomous, sovereign and federal state. The UAE constitute 7 emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman Umm al Qaiwain and Fujairah. It is located in the South East of the Arab Peninsula and covers an area that glimpses like a triangle. It is located in the tropical dry area that extends across Asia and North Africa. The pearling was Abu Dhabi’s most significant industry and primary source of income. Abu Dhabi is important for about 95 percent of the country’s oil production, and production of petroleum and natural gas. Dubai is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with the world's second-most five-star hotels and the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Dubai, located on the shore of the Persian Gulf in the eastern section of the Arabian Peninsula, aspires to be the business capital of Western Asia. It is also an important global passenger and cargo transportation hub. Oil revenue aided the city's development, which was already a prominent mercantile centre. Dubai's economy is based on earnings from trade, tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services, and it has been a regional and international trading hub since the early twentieth century.Oil production contributed to less than 1 percent of the emirate's GDP in 2018. According to government data, the population of Dubai is estimated at around 3,400,800 as of 8 September 2020
